Fishers · IndianaAbout the Shop
Wind & Ivory Instrument Repair is an independent brass and woodwind repair shop serving the Fishers area and surrounding communities. Every instrument that comes through the door is evaluated honestly — we tell you what we found, why it matters, and what it will cost before any work begins.
The shop is owned and operated by Daniel Wilhelm, a professional tubist and low brass specialist with a Master of Music in performance from Arizona State University and years of experience across multiple professional repair facilities. He brings both a performer's ear and a technician's hands to every repair.
We specialize in brass repair with particular expertise in low brass instruments — tuba, euphonium, and trombone — while also offering select woodwind repairs in clarinet, bassoon, and oboe.
Our Philosophy
"We tell you what your instrument needs and why — no surprises, no unnecessary work."

What We Do
Every repair begins with an honest assessment. You'll know exactly what needs to be done and why before we touch your instrument.
Our cleaning process uses a professional-grade acid bath followed by mechanical scrubbing and polishing. The result is a thoroughly clean instrument — smooth inside and out, ready to play.
Comprehensive repair for all piston and rotary valve instruments. We address what matters and are upfront when something can wait.
Currently accepting clarinet work, with bassoon and oboe repairs available on request. Saxophone and flute repair not available at this time.
Additional woodwind services coming as inventory expands.
Transparent Pricing
